OÏRA COMPANY

OÏRA PHILISOPHY: Oïra means the reflect of our interior. The company’s aim is to touch the spectator, not by showing him something beautiful but rather by making him live an expe- rience. She wants him to feel every moment of the play, to cry, laugh, dance at every performance. She wants him to live that moment with the performers, at the same time as they do. Oïra is a french company. Here it’s not just about creating dance shows. The idea is to create universes where music, dances, costumes and all other tools come to materialize them, to tell them. They dialogue and help each other to form a whole where each part has a capital importance.

PURPOSE OF THE COMPANY: Created in 2019, the main purpose
of the Oïra Company is to create and present live shows and public events involving various artistic disciplines.

MARION BINOIS - Choroegraphe, performer, A.D.

Marion Binois meets the hip hop community in Nantes (FR). It’s the place where she starts to dance in free training sessions and decides to devote herself to her practice. Inspired by different artistic styles, she quickly emancipated herself from the codes to find her own way. Liking to understand and feel everything she does, her dance is based on body research and her ability to go to her ex- tremities. Marion Binois continues her journey as a self-taught dancer through various encounters and trips to Armenia, Turkey, the Czech Republic and Guyana with some support like Alliance Française network or French Institute. She learns how to set up artistic projects by working in the associative environment. Particu- larly touched by collaboration and interdisciplinarity, she quickly integrates clo- thing, video and music into her projects and creates a very personal and complete universe to immerse the public in stories and feelings. After several fashion show projects, among others, she decided to take on a more substantial format and founded the Oïra Compagny in 2019.

SETCHEA - Composer and performer

Setchea is a rapper, poet, songwriter & director. Trained in music pro- duction & communication sciences, he was then destined for artistic management. At the age of 21 he founded, with two friends, C.Œ.D.E., the Créateurs D’Œuvres De l’Esprit, an artistic label that houses a clothing brand of the same name. It is through his encounters and various expe- riences that he was struck by the evidence of his own creativity. Long at the service of others, he decided, at the age of 24, to fully undertake his artistic mutation and dedicate himself to his own works. A writer since his earliest youth, he finally takes his courage in both hands and sharpens his rhymes and rap. The need to compose instrumental music quickly be- came apparent. The vision of a complete artist appears. So, for 3 years, he writes and composes continuously. He returns to Alsace, where his roots are. At the age of 27 he finally feels legitimate to share his art with the wor- ld. His music, a mix of sampled percussion and film chords takes shape. His lyrical and provocative lyrics are ready to be proclaimed.
